With more than 5 million patients treated worldwide since 1999, this treatment has already proven its effectiveness in the field of invisible orthodontics.
However, it is important to entrust your treatment to an Invisalign specialist, and preferably to an orthodontist with “Platinum Elite Provider” status with Invisalign.
This status ensures that the orthodontist has carried out more than 40 treatments over the last 12 months, which is the case for orthodontist Amir Philips, who treated more than 120 patients over the same period.

Invisalign is a treatment available to adults with no maximum age limit, as well as to teenagers from the age of 15 thanks to the Invisalign Teen treatment.

First step: Clincheck and receiving your first aligners.
Following an initial diagnosis carried out by an Invisalign-certified orthodontist, a digital scan called a Clincheck is performed.
What are the goals of the Clincheck?
- Goal 1: This examination shows the current alignment of your teeth as well as the expected final result, using 3D software.
- Goal 2: The digital scan will also be used as the basis for creating your first aligners, which you will receive from your orthodontist 2 to 4 weeks later.
Second step: Treatment monitoring and adjustmentYou will see your orthodontist on average every 8 weeks to check the alignment of your teeth and adjust the treatment if necessary.
-
The duration of Invisalign treatment varies depending on the number of aligners needed to correct your teeth.
-
As with fixed appliance treatment, you may feel some pain or irritation in the days following the placement of your new aligner. A painkiller can always relieve you if necessary.
This discomfort only lasts a short time and is entirely normal. It is the result of the work done by the aligners, which put pressure on the teeth and ligaments to follow the planned alignment.

Invisalign can treat the majority of malocclusions:
- Class I malocclusion and dental crowding: A malocclusion characterized by overlapping teeth, mainly in the upper and lower incisors
- Class II and III malocclusion: A malocclusion characterized by a mismatch between the upper and lower teeth.
- Anterior open bite: A malocclusion characterized by a gap between the upper and lower incisors (open bite)
However, only an orthodontist can confirm whether Invisalign treatment is accessible as a solution for your malocclusion.

Aesthetics
Only Lingual treatment is invisible, since the brackets are fixed to the back of the teeth. However, Invisalign treatment provides near-total invisibility.
Budget
Only your orthodontist can determine the cost of orthodontic treatment, depending on the type of treatment suited to your needs. The cost of lingual treatment is slightly higher than aligner treatment for the same level of correction.
Daily life
The frequency of appointments with the orthodontist is lower with aligner treatment. On average, you need one visit every 8 to 10 weeks, compared with one visit every 5 to 7 weeks for Lingual treatment.
Comfort / Speech
Removable aligners bring slight temporary discomfort at the start of wearing the first aligners, at the beginning of treatment. However, this is a short-term effect. Speech is slightly affected at the start of treatment.
The Lingual appliance, due to its position in the mouth, affects the position of the tongue (irritation) and speech at the start of treatment.
Hygiene
Aligners are removable, which makes it possible to maintain better control over oral hygiene. Brushing your teeth and flossing is therefore easier with the aligner technique, given the position of the lingual appliance behind the teeth.

We aim to be as transparent as possible regarding the fees charged for aligner treatment.
To give you an accurate quote, we need to gather the elements necessary for a precise diagnosis, namely a clinical examination, X-rays, and photos.
All these elements will be taken into account and the quote will be calculated based on the complexity and duration of the treatment.
This can range from €3,500 to €5,750.
In some cases, the treatment is much more complex than you might imagine! Indeed, dental alignment often requires more movements in order to achieve correct occlusion and functionality at the end of treatment.

The answer is no. The practitioner must be trained and certified by Invisalign. Orthodontist Philips Amir is far more than certified — his expertise and experience allow him to train dentists and orthodontists in the Invisalign technique for Belgium and Luxembourg. This is how he received Diamond 2 Provider status, the highest qualification in the field.
Diamond 2 Provider status means the orthodontist has treated more than 150 patients over the last 12 months. In total, more than 1,500 patients have benefited from Invisalign treatment thanks to Philips Amir’s expertise.

Both are possible, as long as the practitioner is recognized as a partner on the Invisalign website. However, although this treatment is available from Invisalign-certified dentists, an orthodontist will generally have more experience with malocclusions.
Indeed, orthodontics requires 3 to 4 additional years of study. Moreover, since orthodontic specialists practice their discipline exclusively, their expertise and experience bring a clear advantage in terms of treatment quality and expected results.
